slinging. that is making a sling and learning to throw things with it. get some rubber balls large enough to not go through the fence at a tennis court and go to the court when no one is there and practice.
Oooh, where do you start with this? Like are there YouTube tutorials or a forum or something?
there used to be all sorts of things. like forums and meetups. definately should be able to still find plenty of youtube videos. You can even make a sling from string using macromae which might lead to another hobby.
Am I guessing no social stress neither? Because I was going to recommend joining a non-profit on whatever you find cool, art, sport, nature etc. We are social animals we need some contact to be happy, and having a target activity will reduce the fear of feeling awkward.
My hobbies can be considered torture for some people. It is 100% up to you what is boring or not.
If you want to do some crafting here is a list from the top of my head for cheap(ish) startup with kits online:
Leather working, wood carving, wood burning, miniature building (💀), bonsai, grow your own spices, epoxy kit for jewelry/dice/dominos, candle making, soap making, bath bombs, sourdough baking, beading, crochet, knitting, English paper piecing (💀), tatting, cross stitch (💀), embroidery, diamond painting, paper quilling, air dry / heat hardening modeling clay, model planes/cars/trains, miniature paiting (warhammer $$$), macrame / friendship bracelets, jigsaw puzzles, get a 10w laser cutter, 3d printing ($$$), coffee roasting/brewing, making beer / liquor, learning cocktails, cooking, baking.
Badminton, swimming, jigsaw puzzles, blogging, video games, cooking and reading.
These are the low barrier of entry stuff that keeps me going.
Lokal volunteer run radio, if you have something like that in your area. Find out when they recruit or send them a mail. There are several in my area, and they are very social, perfect wether you want to talk, code, write, do audio or something else. You can often start from zero there, or find a way to use something you already know.
IMHO creativity is the key for a hobby in order to not be boring.
Whether you make photos that are special and unique or tell stories that never have been told or whatever: create something, and it will stay interesting.
Coloring books.
Yarn crafts are fun. I knit and crochet. At the end you have something like a hat or scarf that you can keep, give away, donate, ... Yarn can get expensive but there are cheap options too. Some people even buy sweaters and blankets at Goodwill, take them apart, and use the yarn to make something new.
