I’m a little sceptical on account of the trash they’ve released in this franchise past… gods, when did RCT3 come out?

That said, I kind of like the visuals. They’ve clearly drawn inspiration from RCT1/2, and while I don’t think it’s quite there yet, it’s charming! It tickles the nostalgia.

Really wondering if there is a good enough market left. There have been a lot of good spiritual successors and between planet coaster und parkitect people are eating good

I wasn't aware of Parkitect. Gave Planet Coaster a whirl some years ago, but I don't think the Planet series is for me. I remember dropping it with Planet Zoo when the guests were losing their shit over seeing staff facilities.

OpenRCT2, an open source implementation of the original Rollercoadter Tycoon 2, is also going quite strong with a large fanbase.

And my argument would to be just go play that. Amazing what they have added for it

It feels like a repeat to me. Starts with pre-rendered cuts to gameplay all the while generic sounding amusement park music plays.

If the game isn’t a buggy mess the name will move a few copies. But without any ability to customize scenery or rides I don’t see it outselling to competing with Planet Coaster or Parkitect
