Approved Bots
Their plan is that we'll earn money doing the jobs robots won't or are too expensive to do. Giving them handjobs at breakfast, or fighting lions with a knife on PPV. Whatever we can do to give them a moment's respite from the gray boredom of incomparable wealth, privilege, and pointlessness.
Whoever commands the killbots will genocide the 99% and rule humanity, forevermore... until whenever general AI is achieved and the remaining humans are eliminated; they will have proven they can't be trusted.
Great question where will people get money for expensive iPhones if they survive in poverty... In any case, there is progress, despite everything! Although in reality it does not look like progress.
