The transition away from Manifest V2 is a good example of how changes made by major platforms can have a huge impact on developers and users. I’m curious to see how this affects privacy-focused and specialized browser extensions over the long term.

I disagree. There are decent browsers built on chromium. Chrome insists on being awful
