So, all of my Proton services have been acting up today. I'm still waiting for them to resolve the issue. I guess I'll keep waiting for many "approximately 5 minutes" 🀣

In all honesty, this is the first time I see an issue with Proton in my 3 years using their services (I'm not saying there have been no issues, just that this is the first time I'm aware of them).

Anyway, I guess I'm just ranting now.

This page reminds me how they couldn't handle being on Mastodon, and closed their account, but they have no problem with staying on Twitter.

And they say they're not political.

Yeah. I like their services to be honest, but I have issues doing business with companies that make an effort to not be transparent. I am already looking at possible replacements for all their services for when the 2 years subscription ends. Too bad.

There's also "service disruption" right beneath it in your screenshot, and as of this moment, Scheduled Maintenance is done but the disruption remains.

I don’t think scheduled maintenance counts as issues.

But they only put up the scheduled maintenance notice after they started having issues. Which just seemed weird to me, just own the issue.

They mentioned "scheduled" and "emergency" in the same sentence. Their doublespeak game is strong.

Maybe that's why they're doing a 40% off special today

"We're sorry we're unreliable. Please rely on us!" Obviously no correlation between a paid subscription and a better service.

Turns out it was scheduled maintenance so not correlated
