I recently saw a meme calling Linkin Parks Numb an oldie. I remember waiting for that album to come out.
I feel like there's something more to Classic rock than just age, it's a style, You know what I mean? Like a Deep Purple song will be classic rock no matter what year it comes out in, but a Limp Bizkit track should never fall into that category no matter how old it gets.

one of the internet radio stations I listen too changed their tagline from “Best of the ’80s” to “Gen-X Hits”
A local "oldies" station changed their motto from "The best of 60s, 70s and 80s" to "The best of 80s, 90s and 00s". I don't consider anything from the 00s an oldie. Not even the mid 90s.
When I was a kid in the 80s, the oldies stations were playing stuff from the 50s.
Labels like oldies and classic rock were only ever valid as radio formats - they're not genres unto themselves.
I saw someone talk about Mass Effect in the retro gaming comm today. :|

Over a decade ago I heard one of the DJs on SiriusXM refer to Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blink-182 as “nostalgia bands”

They've moved further now. I heard a classic rock station play Living Dead Girl. I like the song and all, but it hurt to hear in that context.
Shouldn't classic rock be something like Little Richard?
The local station that plays Little Richard refers to itself as the "golden oldies" station.
My job plays the classic rock station every morning. I took so much psychic damage when I heard Gorillaz on it the other day.
I don't know about the flat feet, but artritis might cime for you soon.
