I think this actually does a better job than most explanations of why this is a practical excercise.
The fit is worse though lol. The cubes stick out further into the zipper than they did before.

I know. But it didn't work here.
It did. In the left image, the one cube on the top is too tall and the bag doesn't close properly. On the right image, more cubes are close to the top, but the bag fully closes.
