I fully believe that there's a cop out there who's already used these things to stalk and kill people, and either they just haven't been found out yet or their blue brothers are covering for them.

Such a mystery that this keep happening.

These are just the ones we know about. I'd guess for every one person who gets charges brought there are at least 100 cops getting away with the same damn thing. We won't have a clear idea of how bad the problem is until years from now, and that's assuming that the American coup doesn't stick. If it does, this will be the norm for a while. Widespread abuse, and a few who fuck up badly enough to get caught.

probably some cops are even tracking children only.

Why do you think Flock puts so many cameras near elementary schools?

[–] sik0fewl@piefed.ca 4 points 14 hours ago

At least flock is helping identify all the creeps.

How things like this keep hapening? It's a mistery!

Joke aside, that's why a liberal govt pursues data minimalism.

Well, that and cloud storage costs.

Apple said his office received a tip Friday from an outside source that Moore was using a Flock camera to track a former acquaintance, and an internal investigation began immediately.

I wonder who the outside source was. Was it someone at Flock, or another third party able to monitor law enforcement searches? Or was Moore bragging to her friends about illegally stalking her ex?
