I think traditionally you'd want it while glass-blowing and shaping, but obviously these aren't handcrafted so it's more of a cosmetic piece.
I’m pretty sure it’s the same as those tiny milk bottles that look just like the gallons, these are just based off the larger jugs they used to use.
