I recently set up Navidrome on my home server. I listen using Symphonium. Its all basically "Spotify but my own music collection."

When I first used Plex, it didn't even have accounts. I don't even understand what the account is for.

Yeah, when it was "Hey, I drive to work every day, anyone else on this same route want to pay a bit for gas and share my ride?". It was kind of fine.
