Each drone doesnt matter enough to be tidy. They need to be minimally viable, then sent off go do their tasks. They get treated like disposable things, because thats what the collective sees each individual as.

Hey, yeah. They're all about perfection; why are their cables all over the place? Only the Queen seems to have any cable management worth a shit; and it's basically just to make it look like she has a pony tail.
"We are perfection." You sure about that? Your guys shamble about, instead of adding appendages you remove them, there are loose cables everywhere that catch on everything, and your ships CLEARLY have inefficient use of space if a Galaxy-class starship is capable of maneuvering inside of it.
With even worse cable management the starship would have gotten tangled, caught in the web of Borg efficiency.
I loved that character. It kind of made the argument that the Borg will self-correct over time if left to their own devices.
Interesting fact: That’s the same guy that played the overzealous SS Officer in Killing Game.
People say Voyager sucks when it has dope ass characters like One. It amazes me. Voyager was always my favorite.
Think my biggest complaint is that it kind of established a premise and then quickly left it behind.
Stranded far from home with meager resources and a decimated crew. A renegade force and starfleet having to figure out how to work together. Having to be sparing with materials, no backup or allies.
Then pretty much instantly the two crews are just peachy operating as one under a starfleet command with barely a word said otherwise. They are endlessly replicating everything they might need, with the cook kept around not as a necessity but more like a "fun quirk". Their relatively run of the mill ship facing off against borg ships multiple times at the same time when First Contract showed a single vessel could still stomp a whole fleet of the most battle hardened ships they had. Their supposed key diplomatic figure seemed ill fitting to the ostensible role.
Felt like they had a mind to try something a bit more "rough around the edges" with more tension, but just didn't follow through.
Decent enough show, but a premise kind of at odds with the execution.
Voyager has problems, and one of the worst episodes of all time, but it’s also awesome and worthy of being called Star Trek.
What hit me the most about that episode is Ryan’s acting at the end. Because it was good of the show to remind us that she’s an excellent actor.

Them never actually landing on Earth frustrates me. Honestly, I kinda wish they'd gotten home sooner so that we could have some time seeing them adjust to life back on Earth/Vulcan/wherever.

Velcro ties. Very simple to attach or remove, very tidy, very cheap.
That's why you never unplug anything after you’ve used it. You're basically messing with the Mona Lisa at that point.
Um, I might be heading to IKEA in the near future to step my Kalkstuff game up. I use zip ties, and that looks far better.
The borg’s greatest weakness was a pair of scissors
Funny, but actually a bit on the nose, repeatedly in the show.
Phaser blast? In short order they have shields that block them. Time for some good old punching, which somehow the drones always seemed to be fairly vulnerable to. Also holodeck tommy gun made short work of them. Seems like starfleet should have just issued good old fashioned guns...
On a related note: the Jem'Hadar have a crippling addiction to drugs to the point that denying them those drugs kills them. The main delivery mechanism of said drugs is A HOSE STICKING OUT OF THEIR CHESTS and not once do we see someone rip the hose out. I mean, Worf carries a knife on him at all times and is highly skilled in its use and nope, Worf never slices the hose. FOH
Slicing the hose kills them later, not now. Y'all dont use a knife to kill someone next week. Y'all use it to put someone down on the ground immediately.
As a less quipy followup, Jem'hadar are established early as clones that mature to adulthood in a matter of weeks. Thats their real threat. Even if you had the inclination to kill them slowly, its almost irreverent. More will come, enmass.
This is fair. Though we don't know what the immediate effect of interrupting the ketracel white will be. Maybe their addiction to it is so intense that severing the hose completely throws them and they either being to weaken significantly and quickly, or they just totally lose focus? I'm just saying that it might be a strategy to try once. But I get that the costume department doesn't want to have to go through the trouble of replacing/repairing that hose between takes.
"Kalkstuff" translates to "geological sample of chalk", which is a weirdly fitting description.

In Borg Voice: Cable management is irrelevant. Increased mass resulting in increased signal pathway and higher latency is inefficient.
Borg design always bothered me. "Ooh, a laser! Do you project your own PowerPoint too?"
I chuckled pretty good at the Borg!
I mean, it kinda does makes sense - I always knew it was meant to portray their utilitarian nature yet thought that many loose cables & tubes was def a bit of a fashion design choice too.
