Pretty much any non cocktailed alcohol. It all tastes kinda like shit except for some wines.

If matcha wasn't basically the new boba (at least in the West), trendy and whatnot among the girlies, people would admit it's just grass + whatever else is in the drink (and it's not the grass but the rest which makes it enjoyable). Or maybe it really does taste great but only for half of the Western world, idk, but it hasn't been my experience (and my wife hates it too so there are always exceptions, lol).

I find that there's a pretty wide range in matcha quantity, and the stuff that's actually really good is going to cost an arm and a leg, and it's probably become a victim of its own popularity, to satisfy the demand they're just importing more lower quality matcha.

The first time I tried it was probably like 15 years ago, I grabbed a little tin from a fancy grocery store on a whim that I think I remember costing about $20 and probably had less than an ounce of powder in it. And that stuff was really good. I then got a bigger bag of cheaper stuff somewhere and it tasted like straight-up swamp water. Most of what's out there now that you've probably tried is somewhere in between. I don't mind it, but it's not good enough for me to want to seek it out, and the good stuff is hard to find and probably even more expensive these days.

And to make matters worse, I don't think there's really any official standardized grading or labeling for it, so it's kind of hard to figure out what you're getting, you might see things like "Ceremonial grade" thrown around, but that's pretty much just a meaningless marketing term.

Malört is really popular here and I have no idea why. Some kind of hipster shibboleth.

Don't drink anymore but loved me some neat gin in my time. The more juniper the better. St. George's Terroir and Never Never Triple Juniper were my poisons of choice.

I feel like there'd be too many to list for me... But most would probably be alcoholic.

Whiskey. Eggnog. Red wine. Mulled wine. Coffee.

Beerr, Spirits, Wine, Dr Pepper

Oh, coffee and all forms of alcohol.

I think I might have stronger perception of bitter flavours than the average person, so both of these taste bad to me. Coffee is hands down the worst though. It doesn't even smell good. It's like if someone burnt something. Rancid.

Before anyone claims I've just encountered bad coffee - I live in Melbourne, we have a lot of high quality baristas here so I doubt it.

.....it doesn't even smell good?! I'm so sad for you. Coffee, bread, bacon are my 3 favourite smells

  • eggnog
  • milk

Possibly not liking the former is due to not liking the latter. I've never liked the taste of plain milk. I use it in cooking. I drink chocolate milk a couple of times a year. I've not drunk plain cow milk more than a couple of times in my life and didn't like it. I threw up when quite young (preschool/daycare) to cereal with milk on it and again when I was like 6-8ish when my then-new stepfather tried to make me eat it. That probably didn't help anything.

My wife always hated milk, ever since she was a kid. The thought of drinking it just turned her stomach.

Wasn't until she was an adult that she found out she was lactose intolerant

Cola, any kind. I dont get how fizzy brown drink became popular outside of the whole "cocaine in a drink" thing early on.
