Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

Invest a fraction of what your kitchen knives cost and renovate your wall, son!

After "don't run with scissors" comes "don't drive with knives"

That's a beautiful array of knives! I'm hesitant to invest in good knives because I've never felt confident in keeping them sharp

none of those are expensive! i have some wustoff and henknels but they are no longer in my workng set. just too… plain? they were 8” chefs knives which i found i almost never used. check out winco knives. they are great quality and very reasonable

Those French, santoku/usuba, & straight carving knives aren't Wusthof?

What type of dishwasher detergent do you use to keep them looking so good? /s

It looks great! Do you have a favorite or maybe it changes over time?

nice! in a tool ket too. i see you like longer knives as well. 8” just isnt enough for me most of the time.

I just use a Victorinox Fibrox. It's 8 years old, gets used almost daily, and still hasn't needed to be sharpened (I do hone it)

I had a similar knife set 10+ years ago which I invested in when starting a chef apprenticeship. The removalists lost that box during a move interstate, I died a little that day.
