Nordu.net was registered on 1 jan 1985 and symbolics.com was 15 March 1985 :)

EDIT: found the list i usually point to. And I'm ignoring .arpa and .mil.

Nice link! Sad to see that symbolics.com appears to be vibe coded, glad that it isn't the case for nordu.net. The vibe coder of symbolics is also just lying in the footer since nordu was registered first.

Yeah, they could lay claim to being the first .com domain, but maybe that isnt as cool.

My dad worked for Symbolics in Falls Chirch, VA back in the day. Can’t remember when he left, but it was probably a little before the date on this page (1998).

Anyone remember Lazlo’s computer in the basement in “Real Genius?” According to my dad, that was a Symbolics workstation.
