Basically just something people say that indicates a position indirectly, like how seperatists from a given region might always say they're from [region] and not [country] or how trump supporters call AI "SI" now.

Probably the SportDOG Roy Gonia Mega Whistle. It's extra loud and works well.

“The right kind of people”. You mean just white people? I hate that.

ITT: whole lotta Nazi dog whistles ...

[–] Octavio@piefed.social 3 points 2 days ago

Yeah. Maybe a lot of people skimmed the headline and thought it said "neo-nazi" instead of "non-nazi"?

Took me a minute to realise what "dog whistle" meant and it made me think about how on Ted Lasso, Roy just yells "whistle" as opposed to blowing one.

"Family values" can mean anything from hating gays, hating women who aren't rushing to squeeze out kids, basically anything that goes against the productive/nuclear family, to them — to the rest of us it's just that people should have a choice.

I don't see a lot of Americans talking up their Second Amendment anymore? I guess because they all sat back and let fascists take over, they can't really say their guns are defending them against tyranny. Funny how that played out.

I can think of some sex ones I've heard of.

A "snow white" is some kind of deranged sex thing for a girl i can't remember... It is probably really bad though.

Also one place i was had furries who hung different color flags on their belt, it was pretty subtle but apparently it was a signal about what kind of sex things they were into. Someone told me that.

Also I've heard that long ago in hawai'i if you had a flower behind your right ear it meant one thing, and behind your other ear it meant another thing.

those little metal ones from the pet shop. they indicate your position indirectly in that whoever is trying to find you needs to use a dog.

I think the prequel trilogy is better than the original trilogy is just a dog whistle for not listening to someone talk about Star Wars.

"I'm not saying [group of people] shouldn't be allowed to exist! I support [group of people]! I'm just concerned about…"

My parents used to (probably still do) call black people “the element”.

Like, “this was a safe neighborhood until the element moved in.”
