Somewhere in the forest there exists a tree planted just to replace the oxygen Sam Altman wastes. He should find it and apologize.

"I could easily afford to do that 5 years ago," Billionaire says of people trying to live their lives within their budgets.

[–] ILikeStupidMemes@lemmy.zip 13 points 3 hours ago

What would be cool is you turning into a corpse Sam.

"You need to understand that Sam [Altman] can never be trusted." "He is a sociopath. He would do anything."

-Aaron Swartz

I'm surprised that Altman was relevant enough to comment on when Swartz was still alive

[–] NovaVeles@lemmy.world 9 points 5 hours ago

Live your life as an inverse Altman. What ever he says, do the opposite.

[–] KulunkelBoom@lemmus.org 6 points 4 hours ago

Sam Altman sounds like an anal fissure with a mouth.

[–] bollvirtuoso@lemmy.world 65 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Saying "you don't need your own RAM" is the "let them eat cake" of this generation

Why are this dipsticks quotes constantly being posted? Every title with his name should be "pedophile sam altman". He raped a two year old.

I'm gen-x and trying to think of what was cool 5 years ago. 2021. So middle of the pandemic. I guess wearing funky masks, working from home, socially isolating? Aw shit, I miss those things too.

Sam is so cool.

[–] melfie@lemmy.zip 60 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I must be off my game today. A headline started with “Sam Altman Says” and I accidentally read the whole headline.

This guy is really enjoying the smell of his own farts now.

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 15 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Cool things don’t have an expiration date. That’s a depressing as fuck way to look at life.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 2 points 4 hours ago

"Oh no my favorite thing was cool four and a half years ago. I can only enjoy it for six more months" said no one ever

[–] beejjorgensen@lemmy.sdf.org 24 points 13 hours ago

I'm Gen X, but Gen Z right now is my fuckin' hero. Every time I hear a story about young folks rejecting AI and taking critical thinking and creative writing classes, it casts a ray of hope.

[–] vane@lemmy.world 12 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

How big asshole he is ? Guy thinks that he can say same things over and over and people won't get sick of it. The product he sells is not work tool, it's pop culture. The problem with pop culture is that it shifts to something else every 5-7 years.

So RIP AI because time is ticking. Their product if it have not attracted enough people to survive will vanish in the next 1-3 years. Deal with it.

[–] CalemitousVariantK@lemmy.world 24 points 13 hours ago

The thing that was cool 5 years ago was at least cool once. AI has yet to be cool and it doesn't look like it's heading in that direction. Meanwhile it's also taking a shitty economy and making it worse while enriching some of the worst humans alive.

[–] slaacaa@lemmy.world 12 points 12 hours ago

Somebody please Luigi this fascist cunt. I live in Europe so I can’t

[–] onnekas@sopuli.xyz 2 points 8 hours ago

Soooo AGI, when?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 31 points 15 hours ago

Like anyone would listen to THIS guy about what is "cool."

You know what's cool? Sociopathic Oligarchs stepping off of high buildings. Give it a try, Sam.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 14 points 13 hours ago

Altman is lame for continuing to breathe

[–] belochka@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

Actually what young people want is the connection between their struggle and their achievement. It's mentioned in Heinlein's "Starship Troopers".

So, that kind of products seems to not be very tall in that regard.

Sam Altman is lame for still breathing

[–] Aneb@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

I would say breathing is coolest thing his body is doing. Nothing else is going on in there

[–] DudeWhoYapsTooMuch@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

Gee Whizz, it's almost as if you should follow the customer and the customer is right. Yes, Gen Z likes old shit, that's why they actually are more punkish when it comes to taste.
