Lula’s comeback matters well beyond Brasília. Since late 2025, Latin America has seen a regional shift toward right-wing regimes. Bolivia, Chile, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Peru all elected conservative governments, most of them endorsed by Washington.
