Fuck Reddit. Stop going there.

Didn't they ban and remove years of drug safety related content

People are probably going to discord or some random website they spin up locked behind user registration (they they'll promptly disable after like a week cuz they fear authorities infiltrating)

Or telegram, I heard its popular for um... hackers, crypto, unlawful videos, intelligence operatives. (not trying to say that everyone using telegram is doing unlawful activities, but it is a reputation i heard when its mentioned)

FWIW, opensource solutions to both are awesome for nixing parasitic telemetry, etc... ☝🏼

That's the most likely outcome, unfortunately... I simply can't understand why people will do anything but give free, community-managed, spaces a chance

I fucking hate Discord. Probably gonna get a lot worse if they do go with the indexing plans.

That said, Discord is the place I had previously gotten stuff from that I couldn't get anywhere else, and in a neat all-in-one installer package, too.

(disclaimer: rant warning)

I hate discord too. If you mention anything slightly negative, they'll ban you for "spreading harmful content".

Including posting a slightly "dark" poem in a language exchange server. POETRY! Like whats next, are songs including "dark" lyrics gonna be banned too?
Literally the diaspora-run servers are the worst, I joke about the toxic culture that we grew up in and the top mod was like "um yeah we're totally here trying to help you, but your chat will be deleted and this is a warning, stop complaining"

Hmmm...
I feel like I just hate my ancestry/heritage even more after those interactions. The more interactions with people of my heritage, the more it just pushes me towards western culture. Literally the western-raised ethnic Chinese simping for the toxicity of Chinese culture, like what do they even know, they barely speak the language, I know more characters than them.

So yeah I basically left every server and gonna delete the account soon after i delete all the contacts. Ugh. No wonder why there as Asians that wanna "Act White".

They’ll probably go after child or child safety spaces first since they’re all in with people who prey on children. Fuck spez and fuck Reddit.

1 almost certainly

2 some will, possibly

Reddit has gotten really bad with shaddowbans. I quit after 10+ years. It's going to shit.

[–] username_1@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 5 hours ago

I think it will. I am actually surprised it wasn't done already. But I doubt that people will come here. I expect them to settle at their torrent tracker forums.

Yes.

Not most of them. Some, but in my experience most of a subreddit diaspora just lose contact, or find themselves on a centralized, subject-specific site.
