It is not a truth. What's true is that weak people pretend to be strong to win. Identifying genuine believers will avoid co-opting of the platform.
Weak willed liars fold at a price because they were always in it for the money. Some people want change will be damned if they are obstructed. The way Mamdani talks about our problems and then correctly lays out a systemic solution has sold me on him being genuine. He's an incredible person who is poised to change the American political landscape.
Partially true. Mamdani could still compromise to get things done. It depends where he draws his line for compromise. For example he said he will discourage the term "globalize the intifada" but he never used it to begin with.
Politics is compromise. To suggest otherwise is to ask for something other than fair political representation.

Of course, he immediately stopped being pissed about that the day after election day, brought all those establishment Democrats right into his administration, and presided over things like Rahm Emmanuel telling a bunch of Code Pink anti Iraq war activists who has helped GOTV to stop being "fucking retarded" by making public demands that members of the Bush administration were held accountable for their war crimes,
But at least he was smart enough to understand that allowing establishment voices to campaign with him would have lost him votes
