Lemmy seems to think this election is already in the bag based entirely off of echo chambers saying he has overwhelming support. It's like you people have learned nothing from the 2024 election. I would love if Mamdani would win, but my money is on him losing pretty badly. Things don't get better anymore.

What has lead you to think he is likely to lose?

Are you more plugged into lib media, and they're doing "actually potential democrat voters love Republicans, so mandami is unelectable"?

Long, long, LONG history of Americans rejecting socialism of any type, even in heavily liberal areas. And, from what I've seen, while he is leading in the polls, the majority of his support is from 18-29 year olds, which is a demographic that you can dependably rely on to not show up to vote. It's been the same story the last 1500 times these kinds of things have played out. Why the hell would it be any different this time?

95% of those "socialists" were liberals who had fuckall to offer their constituents, but were branded socialists anyway. 99% of the remaining 5% were ratfucked by the dems and dem-alligned media, as we are seeing right now, live.
