I've had some pretty unpleasant encounters with the ones in Wellington, they will start washing your window with no indication from you this service is wanted, then get very aggressive when told to piss off.

I've had one throw his washing brush at me across an intersection once, nasty group of people.

I hate window washers as much as the next aucklander but dam you dont have to stab them.

I wonder if more details will come out showing both parties were aggressive and escalating. If it turns out to be self defence its still bad because he had a knife on him which is sketchy but I'd be way more understanding.

Self defence doesn't really work when you're the one that instigated the conflict though.

Based on my own experiences with these guys, I doubt any further information that comes out will make the window guys look any better.
