Yes, it is a shock when you get past the propaganda we are born into.

It is important to always be critical of those in power, especially the oligarchy and all politicians and those that do their bidding.

The United States is the aggressor and the cause of chaos and mass murder in many countries.

Our government's involvement in wars after WWII is just crazy and horrible.

Our government's foreign policy and oligarchs push these conflicts for quarterly profits, stealing the natural resources, and to install pro-Western governments and overthrow or coup those that do not bend to the petrodollar.

Ukraine, Palestine, Imperialism, and Hegemony: Understanding US Foreign Policy

This video explores the apparent inconsistencies in the US's approach to international conflicts, specifically comparing the responses to the situations in Ukraine and Palestine. The central argument is that the US's foreign policy decisions are primarily driven by its own military, political, and economic interests, rather than humanitarian concerns or a commitment to democracy. The video posits that supporting Ukraine reinforces US global hegemony, while supporting Palestine would challenge the US-led global order and its ideological foundations.

Key Points:

  • Disparity in Media Coverage and Public Sentiment: The video highlights the contrasting media coverage and public sentiment towards Ukraine and Palestine, noting the ease with which one can express support for Ukraine compared to the controversy surrounding the Palestinian cause.
  • Humanitarian Catastrophes: Both Ukraine and Palestine are presented as humanitarian catastrophes, with detailed statistics on casualties, displacement, and infrastructure damage. However, the situation in Gaza is described as a genocide due to the scale of destruction, intentional targeting of civilians, and restrictions on humanitarian aid.
  • US Interests in Ukraine: The US's support for Ukraine is linked to its strategic interests in Europe, particularly the expansion of NATO and the weakening of Russia. The war in Ukraine is portrayed as profitable for the US defense industry, with billions of dollars flowing back to US-based contractors.
  • US Interests in Israel: The US's relationship with Israel is described as a "special relationship," with the US providing significant financial and military aid. Israel is presented as functioning as a proxy state for the US in the Middle East, serving US interests by maintaining a Western presence, cooperating on military actions, and destabilizing the region.
  • Influence of AIPAC: The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee's (AIPAC) influence on US elections and public opinion is acknowledged, but the video argues that it doesn't fully explain the US's predisposition to support Israel.
  • Imperialism and Hegemony: The video challenges the mainstream narrative of US foreign policy, arguing that it is based on a selective and misleading telling of history. It highlights the US's history of regime change operations, support for authoritarian regimes, and disregard for international law.
  • Challenging the Mainstream Narrative: The video encourages viewers to critically examine the US's role in the world and to recognize the underlying motivations behind its foreign policy decisions. It argues that the genocide in Gaza exposes the moral bankruptcy of US foreign policy and forces a confrontation with the true nature of US imperialism.
  • US is the single biggest winner: The US benefits from supporting Ukraine with substantial, immediate, and tangible benefits for not just American security, but also the US economy.
