The studios have received the letter from Israel representative. The title makes it sound like they sent one.

BBC and Netflix receive letter from Israel over film boycott

It's not that hard to word things sanely...

No, because headlines are written in the present simple tense.

The problem is it’s not clear, I read it like gressen on first read, and like you on second.

How deluded is Israel really? They don't even have compelling arguments for anything, the UK Equality Act?? Israel isn't even in the UK, how could that ever apply? Besides, that's not even the point of the act, it doesn't prevent companies from not working with other companies and actors can choose to turn down any contracts they like.

Fuck off Israel.

Fuck the genociders and anyone attached to it! Punch a nazi in the face.

Part of me would like to see this go to court. It could be amusing for the Israeli government to demand equality while refusing it to others. I’d like to get their pro-equality statements on the legal record.

“If the UK television and film industry colludes with acts contrary to this legislation, organisations are themselves likely to be in breach. It also creates a dangerous precedent: one that condones the exclusion of individuals and/or organisations based solely on their nationality, ethnicity, and/or religion.”

Please, these dumbfucks know the decision is because of the genocide they are commiting, they are just hoping that (somehow) the rest of us don't.
