So I’ve tried Jellyfin Book plug-in but since it doesn’t allow pinch-to-zoom (at least on my phone’s app) that will not work for me

I’ve already thinker with Kavita so I’ll probably be ok for the first install.

My problem come when I want to run it in the background (as a client ?) at this point I’m completely lost

What do you mean? I access my Kavita instance via my web browser. Kavita runs in Docker.

I’ve only run Kavita as a program that I have to start to access on my network.

I know docker by name but I’m not exactly sure how I could use it with Kavita

Looking at the website, when you run the binary, it runs a webserver too:

Step 3

Once the files are extracted to a location, run Kavita.exe to launch the server. Step 4

Open a browser window and go to: http://localhost:5000/

What app are you using? I like cdisplayex for comics. Kavita is basically just a file host and progress syncer

I’m on Jellyfin with Books plug-in

I was able to run Kavita but I have to start the .exe everytime I restart my computer. As I understand it there’s a way to make it run automatically

The last optional step in the install page on the Kavita wiki gives you steps to register the Kavita exe as a windows service. That is what you want for it to auto start on boot. https://wiki.kavitareader.com/installation/native/
