Meta is betting on generative AI for a new generation of aggressive advertising. It requires immense energy, much of which will likely come from fossil fuels.

AI doesn't want anything.

The asshole humans selling AI want this.

"Artificial Intelligence" doesn't actually want anything. It has no agency. Meta/Facebook wants to sell you stuff while the world burns, but that's nothing new.

Given how much energy is needed to run AI, and given how much of it Meta is running, I'd say it's fair to say that Meta wants to sell you stuff while THEY burn the world down

We don't need AI, we have the answers to most of our problems already, we're just being kept from implementing them or they are just too inconvenient for us.

Question 1) Who is.....BATMAN???

I still say this is part of the larger American scam for AI. AI's just a tool, and certainly not autonomous as the stuff of movies. US companies are just using the concept of AI to layoff workers, and they're trying to lock in their AI services contracts before the bubble bursts.

This article falls into the scam pile for me.

Plus I'm fairly certain Zuckerberg should be charged for Crimes Against Humanity, but that seems to be an issue for another day.

Enjoy this article? Check out our affiliate link for this ultra modern luxury firepit. Great for barbecuing small repair engines. https://www.amazon.com/TIYASTUN-Portable-Foldable-Stainless-Backpacking/dp/B0BS52HBWY?refinements=p_36%3A-1700
