French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a letter of intent for the provision of French fighter jets and air defense systems for Kyiv in a meeting at a military air base near Paris on Monday.

The Elysee Palace -- the French president's office -- said in a post to social media that the two leaders signed a letter of intent regarding Ukraine's acquisition of Rafale fighter jets and SAMP/T air defense.

Wasn’t Zelenskyy shopping for 100–150 Swedish JAS Gripen only a few weeks ago? Eager to modernize the air force with European planes, I guess.
