Anyone else shocked? I've personally witnessed some absolutely shameful managerial incompetence that was a direct result of nepotism in public-adjacent (contractors) companies. I mean absolutely clueless idiots responsible for the safety and well-being of hundreds of employees, just handed their positions because of who they were mates with.

I have seen incompetent people hired and given more respect than someone who has done the job well for decades. Normally the excuse is "qualifications aren't everything - a good team fit is important!"

Morons flourish in the Australian workplace - just as long as they suck up to the boss enough!

I don't know who Lynelle Briggs is, but I'm glad that she is keeping the legend of Barry Humphries alive by doing a great Dame Edna Everidge impersonation. She just needs a bit more bedazzling and to throw in the occasional "Hello, possums!"
