No it’s not. You should be doubling down on decoupling from the US not wait and hope that this will all end once (and it’s a big IF) Trump leaves office

Trump's not even gonna be alive to witness the apex of his fuckery; he's gonna leave us all with the fucking rubble. Yes, we should be sanctioned and have our bonds (threatened to be) dumped by Europe, and build alliances elsewhere.

There are obvious practical considerations for such an approach (security, trade), but I doubt it will possible. The US is not reliable and is ruled by criminal plutocrats.
