Don't you know criticizing government action is terrorism?

[–] einlander@lemmy.world 14 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

And what crime are they commiting?

[–] douglasg14b@lemmy.world 8 points 56 minutes ago

Speaking the truth about the fascists in power.

Laws don't matter anymore, there is no more order. They are not being followed, and the ones used to hard you are being made up.

Does lemmy.world have a warrant canary? Being hosted in Germany, will it respond to American subpoenas? And what about other prominent instances?

[–] FE80@lemmy.world 1 points 36 minutes ago

Looks like it's hosted by Cloudflare.

Because they dont have a single, fully-qualified penis amongst them all to use to convince anyone.

Sub-penis is the best they can threaten with.

After years and years of complaining about 'censorship online' they're gonna start arresting people for what they say online.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 10 points 1 hour ago

It was always projection. They accuse their enemies of what they themselves wanted to do.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 23 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Rights for me, rules for thee!

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 17 points 2 hours ago

classic facism. in group and out group.

No, what will happen is they'll use an LLM to analyze the data.

The LLM will falsely tag millions of people.

There will be some notable wrong arrests, and then six months later those people, after having their lives ruined, will sell their stories. They don't have the intelligence, manpower, or discipline to parse this data intelligently or accurately.

And if it makes you feel better, consider how many contexts the word 'Ice' can be used in.

Just for the record, I really don't like ice. It's cold, slippery and wet. And people ruin perfectly nice whiskeys by overdoing the ice in them.

Also fuck the shitty US fascist police, too.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 4 points 57 minutes ago

I really don’t like ice. It’s cold, slippery and wet.

And it gets everywhere.

Just like the shitty US fascist police...

[–] Red0ctober@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

Ice skating is pretty fun though. Strapping knives to your feet and then gliding on a frozen lake is great fun!

But those shitty ICE agents, they can fuck right off on that frozen lake

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 21 points 4 hours ago

They only ever cared about r words and n words and f words. Having actual moral convictions requires a conscience

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 hours ago

Of course. All of that was to get people used to it.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 12 points 2 hours ago

Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

What happens when Dems take back power? The people okay with with this are going to instantly flip the moment the government comes after them the same way. But those people never think about how something can be used against them. They only care if it is a tool that can help them now.

[–] ulkesh@piefed.social 18 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I don't have a wide audience, I'm just a speck in a sea of the internet.

But here you go, DHS. FUCK ICE. FUCK THEIR FASCISM AND AUTHORITARIAN BULLSHIT. FUCK THEIR COWARDICE. FUCK EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM.

Please. I dare you to subpoena me.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 hours ago

User was subpoenaed for this post

[–] MrTastySaganaki@piefed.social 38 points 4 hours ago (4 children)

I'm curious what sorts of posts/users are getting targeted. I would like more specifics. There are literally millions of people criticizing ICE and the government constantly online.

[–] Captainautism@lemmy.dbzer0.com 22 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

That’s the scary part! To what degree do you have to be anti-ice to get on their radar?! Protester? Shit talker? Meme sharer?

[–] sparkles@piefed.zip 4 points 2 hours ago

Right? I said early on the unmarked ones should be treated as kidnappers bc we are drilled to not let unidentified people take us to a second location. Too much?

Or call the real authorities when they’re sniffing around schools and make a real scene because that’s a fiduciary duty.

Idk I’ve seen people say much worse but these are very sensitive individuals.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 25 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

The only way to stand up to fascism is with solidarity in numbers. So let's not let the Nazi ICE thugs intimidate anyone out of criticizing their pathetic white supremacist ways.

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.today 10 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

probably the ones that will be the best targets for being made an example of

[–] uberdroog@lemmy.world 6 points 3 hours ago

They will start with whoever they can and won't stop until made to do so. Strap in and up.

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 hours ago

Exactly. They can target anyone.

[–] Fubarberry@sopuli.xyz 4 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

I would guess it's probably focused on ones are prosecutable as threats. That would be enough for it to not be protected as free speech.

We'll have to wait to know for sure though.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 17 points 3 hours ago

And yet the "I don't care that they gather data on me, I have nothing to hide" crowd is still clueless

[–] breezeblock@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Get the fuck off corporate social media.

[–] perishthethought@piefed.social 2 points 52 minutes ago

Uhhh, you're right of course, but dont think for a second your comments here are not seen by the fascists too.

[–] DevotedShitStain69@lemmy.world 7 points 3 hours ago

Subpoena deez nuts ice pussies, I swear they make twinks look like alpha males compared to those fucks.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 6 points 4 hours ago
[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

If there's no database, where are they getting names for the subpoenas?

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 2 points 32 minutes ago

They use whatever name is on the account and the URL for the content.
