The guy is literal royalty and he's still getting investigated. What's your excuse America?

[–] NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 31 points 1 month ago

When you fill the government with all the people that should be investigated, they can cover each others butts pretty easily.

He was royalty. They couldn't touch him when he was royalty.
No one can touch Trump while he is President, so fix that, morans.

This isn’t for the pedo stuff. This is for him allegedly leaking state secrets.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 21 points 1 month ago

I mean Trump's done the same and faced nothing really.

Also someone pointed out somewhere that the way the police operates in the UK, they would use this to gather evidence for other crimes (the pedo stuff) since they can now look through his home, etc.

Didn't Trump also leak state secrets? He kept them in his bathroom.

We have republicans in power and control that won't let him. TBF, he's a mob boss, so the people going after him and their families are probably being threatened, tortured or killed. Americans, don't be naive about this, he has no empathy.

Man, what a think to wake up to:

His Majesty's statement came after Thames Valley Police confirmed early morning searches on two addresses related to Andrew.

“We have today arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk,” read a statement. “The man remains in police custody at this time.”

In accordance with U.K. guidance, the police force stated it will “not be naming the arrested man.”

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

The searches coincide with Andrew's 66th birthday

[–] mrmacduggan@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 month ago

He's done a reverse fairy tale: Despite kissing so many girls, he transformed from a prince to a frog.

Nothing at all typical about this.

Well, a King's brother is an intrinsic threat to his station. Historically lots of things have happened to them. Maybe not in recent British history.
