The Democratic governor is marching toward reelection in one of the nation’s most important swing states, a victory that could propel him into the very top of his party’s presidential nomination fight. But he’s also navigating physical and political risks that have threatened his family’s life and his standing in a party that’s deeply divided by Israel’s war in Gaza.

AP: What do you say to members of your own party who call you things like “Genocide Josh” and just generally believe that your view on Israel’s war in Gaza is deeply wrong?

Josh: Antisemitism is wrong, hatred and bigotry in any form is wrong.

That he equates anti-genocide sentiment with anti-semitism tells you everything you need to know. If he's the candidate, he will do everything Israel tells him to do, no matter how expensive to the American people or how atrocious to the Palestinians. He will collect his AIPAC checks and wash his hands in the blood of innocent civilians, just like Biden, Obama, and Harris.

This line in the article is pretty rich: "I don’t think resorting to name calling helps us find common ground." So you're going to stop calling anti-genocide people 'anti-semites' right, Josh?

Yeah, considering that, pushing him as The Anointed Candidate sounds a whole fucking lot like a recipe for yet another disastrous electoral outcome.

God I fucking hate how fecklessly idiotic the DNC is.

I barely hear his name for candidate, let all alone the "anointed" one. He's been put forward as a potential, but Newsome is the one getting the preemptive push for loyalty oaths.
