What do you expect them to do, cite an Al Jazeera article about someone going on Newsmax and saying a thing rather than posting the actual video of them saying the thing? Is that somehow more trustworthy? Do you think Newsmax is lying about what someone said in the video of them saying it? Would a better outlet be able to expose that lie?

Honestly if Rutte were less imbecilic, I’d say I’m surprised that he went on Newsmax… but I’m not, if I’m being honest.

While it’s true that NATO has devolved into the headline you posted, it shouldn’t be, and the widening US/EU split has a silver lining of returning the defensive alliance more to it’s original intent of being, you know, a defensive alliance, instead of a proxy arm of US geopolitical and military projection.

It has always been an aggresieve alliance. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and more.
