Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Because just like when she was a VP candidate, she made an absolute ass of herself, and made her boss look bad.
I'm willing to bet that her replacement will largely do the exact same thing but with better media training and less of a PR disaster.
She's being replaced by fucking Markwayne Mullin. The senator so inbred southern his first name is two actual names glued together. He's just as MAGA, and just as dumb as Noem.

Apparently she just gave a press conference and she hadn’t been told she was fired 🤣
I heard she was told just before giving a speech. She had to stand up there bloviate, knowing the news of her firing was being sent out and broadcast in the media as she was speaking. By the time her speech was over, everyone would know she was fired.
Painful. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bitch.
TBF Trump immediately moved her onto some newfangled program that has even less congressional oversight while acting as a money pit, so it's not really a firing...
It was a lateral “promotion”. She was put in an unimportant box where she can’t really do anything.
Except access a ton of money and have no accountability.
The first thing I wondered when I heard the news was if she knew, because this same thing has happened before. Despite "you're fired" being the phrase that made Trump famous, outside of scripted television he's a chickenshit coward who can't fire underlings in person. He has to do it indirectly to avoid confrontations.

Out of curiosity, how do you mean? the Department of Homeland Secrurity Secretary is a cabinet member and serves "at the pleasure of the president". He's able to hire and fire cabinet members as he wills per Article II of the U.S. Constitution about executive power. Is the DHS one of the protected that needs cause?

Saw the theory that MAGA intentionally chooses severely incompetent women for these positions to then pin all their policy failures on and replace them with men, to reinforce womens "inferiority" in the base's minds.
This is pretty hard to prove considering the administration has no competent people of any gender.
