Recent exposures have been linked to large school events in January and February — including state wrestling championships at Utah Valley University, which resulted in multiple people being diagnosed with the illness.
Three new cases confirmed in eastern Utah were also connected to a high school wrestling tournament last month, the Tri-County Health Department in Vernal announced Thursday.
What I find baffling is that they aren't banning wrestling.
Wrestling is obviously the issue here, not vaccines.
Surely it's god punishing them for all that skin to skin contact and hugging between men? 😔
I thought the same thing when reading that. The way people like anti-vaxxers connect unrelated dots to the point of absurdity, seeing two wrestling events cause outbreaks is probably raising somebody's eyebrow.

When people can override basic logic about avoiding contagion because it 'owns the libs,' then it's definitely going to be overridden when it's something that 'means something' in their life, such as a kid's competitions.
Measles is worse than the actual illness, which bad and kills. It resets the immune system so the immunity that is built up over a lifetime is lost. Definitely don’t get it as an adult.

Darwin fish > Jesus fish again.
Had to take my toddler to the ER last Sunday to rule out a TBI (stumbled into the wall, was fine but then vomited later; no TBI, but did have several days of a stomach bug!), and there are signs up in the hospital to watch for symptoms of measles. Both of my kids are on schedule with all vaccines, all the same I was wondering if we really needed to be there 😬

I'm already pro-vax, but I started to watch a video of a baby with pertussis (whooping cough) and I had to turn it off almost immediately because it was so viscerally tragic
Yeah, assholes like Musk and RFK wanting people to get this are some evil motherfuckers. Doubly so because they’re all vaxxed or have the money to make sure it’s just an inconvenience if THEY get it - pretty sure if health care was equal and they had to wait in line and suffer like “the poors” this shit would cease. I’ve heard that this is some white supremacist crap, “ stronger genes will prevail” and thrive and that kind of bullshit. And each time, I just wonder what kind of monsters exist that want to subject anybody to this shit. It ‘s depressing as hell. Go vote in the primaries and this fall.

Imagine a parallel universe where there's enough trust in a government that compels Google to algorithmically push that PSA to every user who has been consuming antivax content. We could still have it all if we take back the helm.
