Better yet, set up a protest to block the parade route.
Calling it now, he wears a military uniform during the parade. It's on my America Falls bingo card.
He hates and cannot comprehend the idea of military service. He thinks it is far beneath him. I don't think he would want to be caught dead in a uniform.
He'll wear his same tailored suits that try their damnedest to straighten out his grotesque figure. He may wear some nonsense bauble on his lapel to signify that he's in charge but that's about it.

He's very particular about his appearance (and quick to denigrate the appearance of others). He probably spends a good deal of money. He just doesn't get good results for that money because he's never had the personal discipline to actually be healthy, and ya know, he's fucking 81. There's only so much a suit and bronzer can do.
And in horrible shape.
Apparently he wears Brioni, which are expensive, but he wears everything baggy enough to hide his gut.
Personally, If they're going to do this, I think they should get another 60 soldiers to do it right
One of the defining things about American power was that they were so big and powerful and all present everywhere in the world that you didn't need big military parades of helicopters, jets, tanks and armies marching through the streets. The world knew they were powerful.
No better sign of respect than to have the world know you are the strongest by not saying or doing a thing to announce it.
It's like a mafia ... you don't need a big display of cars, guns and things to know that they are top dog and control everything.
Wanting to show a big display of military hardware and big groups of soldiers is something a third world or developing country does to show a bit of strength.
It's like the US wants to announce to the world that they are strong ... because they know they're losing ground.
This is not an "American" idea, this is all on Trump.
The real generals shot this idea down in his last term and now the man-baby wants his toys.
If it's not an American idea, then why did America vote for it? Guy bragged about wanting to be a dictator. We voted for it. Seems American to me.
Trump, the guns, the generals and the public are all American. This is an American idea.
If it was an American idea we'd be doing it every year.
No one thought it would be a great idea in the past.
If it had been a popular idea Trump would have gotten it in his last term.
I'm not going to reply again, because it's a stupid thing and I don't feel like talking about it.
People thought "Gulf of America" was just Trump being ridiculous and egotistical, but to me it now seems clear that it was intended to lay the groundwork to ban press like AP. I believe that was a multi-step plan. The administration is not stupid, they're getting everything they want. Everything is working out in their favor. That is not by accident, that is not the result of stupidity.
It's worth pausing and considering what kind of non-stupid, multi-step plan would call for a large accumulation of likely Trump-supporting soldiers with military equipment at Washington D.C.
Is that what this is? Who knows. But I think it's naive to attribute any of these actions to just ego-stroking.

Calling DOGE, looks like there might be some budget cuts that can take place here...
Also it's sick to think a person like Trump could get a parade like this.
It's easy to get this done when you steal tax payers money and use that to fund it...
Would someone please pull a parade permit for that date before THEY pull a parade permit for that day.

The best thing about a military parade is that he has to stand up and bake in the sun while his odor wafts through the crowd.
Make better decisions people. You bare the consequences while he sits in complete luxury with chefs and servants.
