Requiring an app to get loyalty discounts seems criminal to me.

Got an idea for next month's banner?
If it helps, the savings are minuscule. I don't use the loyalty schemes at all anymore. If there's a discount only for members, I actively avoid buying that product. I mostly get non-perishables at the supermarket and stock up when it's got a discount for normal people.
Alternative is to bookmark this barcode.
Very good, but be warned it can occassionally generate codes for cards that haven't been activated yet. It freaks out the machines and therefore summons a person. Speaking from experience
I did not realise it summoned a person!
Will have to remember to bring actual cards to use as decoys next time.
Not all hero's wear capes!
Nice, I didn't know about that!
we have also been advised that some users are using this tool at countdown and woolworths, two supermarkets in new zealand. they have been scanning these codes in place of an "everyday rewards" card. please do not do this, it is probably in violation of woolworths or everyday rewards' terms of service. if you choose to violate their terms of service, they may invalidate any points accrued using this tool.
lol, reminds me of all the piracy and DRM evading stuff that is "for educational use only".
Lol the points are so fuckall, buy $1000 groceries for 10c level of fuckall. It's the "discounts" (ie: actual RRP) we want
😃 yeah I love that bit.
I've been using this wee gem for a while now and only this week had it fail me. So I dunno if some barcodes are blocked but the teller indicated I need to sign up and activate my card properly, which obviously isn't going to happen.
Maybe I should save one that works as I believe it generates a random one for each visitor?
That's a thought, screengrab a working one and the same lucky recipient will get all your points!
I think according to their site you have a 1200 chance of it not working.
Oh rad! Great to know I'm really special (after I don't know how many successful attempts previously)
