Obviously this is bullshit, but I wonder what long term affect this will have on "Late Night" TV shows.

If you look at Colbert & Kimmel, they average about 2.5 million viewers an evening. On average their respective monologues also average about the same 2.5 million.

I know Colbert often jokes about the YouTube viewership being underutilized. I wonder, if Kimmel is pulled from ABC/broadcast, could he full pivot to online?

Conan made the pivot to podcasts/YouTube.

I expect Colbert will at some point. Honestly probably something limited similar to Dave Letterman.
