I really love Linux Mint, I remember opening my old repaired laptop after years of it being damaged just to see my Mint desktop again where I first learnt python.

To be fair, Linux Mint having long development cycle is perfect for stability. I have Mint on my laptop for god knows how long, I never had to reinstall it, never seen a crash, never seen an issue. For a laptop I only use occasionally (during vacations) I couldn't have chosen a better distro

I just switched to Linux mint from arch I have no regrets I see why people praise it now.

Had drivers issues with my display I have nvidia drivers. I switched to Linux mint and haven't had issues so far.

Don't know why that is news. They used to call them Edge versions and the same Linux kernel is also available in any up to date Mint installation.
