I don’t think he’s going alone at all. Pretty much every other comedian has his back, and dozens of shows and podcasts are talking about it, too, calling out exactly how absurd this entire thing is.

Plus, I’m pretty sure Disney learned it’s lesson last time, after the enormous backlash they got for taking Kimmel off the air for six days. I’m pretty sure they’ll be fighting back a lot harder this time.

Has Kimmel ever been funny?

He's more of an institution like Johnny Carson. If you watched a Carson excerpt you'd not consider him funny. But over the decades he had enough good jokes to become a legend.

Kimmel does 140+ episodes a year and he's been doing it for 23 years. Cal Ripken Jr was known as the ironman of baseball for doing 162 games a year for 21 years.
