Walk up to the first employee you can find and ask them if there's an arcade around here and where you can find it.

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Employees there hear this all the time. I would bet my life on it...

And if they're good at their job they'll make it look like they don't then go complain to their colleagues someone did the joke again. Everybody's happy!

[–] pinball_wizard@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's hilarious... And might be how this Arcade signage got like it is.

[–] lugal@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 week ago

A reinforcing loop. People ask to make fun of all the signs and the owner is like "one more sign will fix this"

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 18 points 1 week ago

I bet there’s not even an arcade. Definitely just a place to get murdered, probably by clowns.

[–] RaptorBenn@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago

The owner keeps telling people he owns the local arcade and everyones like, what arcade?

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

"ARCADE INSIDE! ARCADE! ARCADE! ARCADE! ARCADE INSIDE!"

I feel like they are trying to tell me something. I wonder what it is.

[–] popekingjoe@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think... That there just might be an arcade inside.

[–] Nelots@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

I doubt it. Surely there would have been some sort of sign.

[–] dryfter@lemm.ee 12 points 1 week ago

You know what....I'd rather live in the Looney Toons universe over whatever the hellscape we're living in now is.

Also I seriously want to visit an arcade now.

[–] tanisnikana@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

What’s around the corner? Is it an arcade? Or just a hole?

[–] Mohamed@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 week ago

Oooh coffee!!

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

"DEFINITELY NOT A TRAP"

[–] FrostyCaveman@lemm.ee 8 points 1 week ago

Some people would still be unable to find the arcade tho, guaranteed

[–] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee 8 points 1 week ago

it's just a long hallway with a sign that says "there's no arcade" at the end

[–] Beacon@fedia.io 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Assuming the machines are just around a 90 degree corner then they should just put two angled mirrors in both corners so you could actually see the arcade

[–] everett@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 week ago

From what I gather local people will just walk into the mirror.

[–] LiveLM@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 week ago

Unfortunately the Coyote would get me hook line and sinker with promises of Coffee AND Arcade

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

This way to human trafficking.

Reminds me of how my wife and I found an adult-themed mini golf place in Nottingham I think. Fun times. Wait, maybe it was York...

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Where is the "Free Bird Seed" sign?

[–] tiredofsametab@fedia.io 3 points 1 week ago

Just go to the normal human arcade with all the other totally real, normal humans.

[–] NewNewAccount@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

This has got to be in a chintzy tourist town.

[–] Sixtyforce@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

I disagree. It's distracting and that likely does net some customers.
