The posters on the right are very garbled if you zoom in. Maybe it isn't even a real image?
Or if it's real, is it an Indian railways train? Does the poster day IRCTC?
Looks like image upscaling to me, lots of phones do it by default these days.

A hand buzzer works, too, but it needs a certain amount of moisture on the skin to work, and foot dampness varies a lot more than hand dampness due to keratin and callouses.
