Sorry, but posting an article and changing it's title (which also turned click-baity) with no comments of your own is quite uninteresting.

Since 2021, amendments to the Indian IT rules have been building pressure on social media platforms. Companies have had to set up local offices, appoint grievance officers, and add AI labeling to comply with new rules. The window to take down any unlawful content was recently shortened from three days to less than three hours.

Looks like Motorola have used law this to brush away or silence individuals

On April 17, an Indian court issued a temporary injunction ordering the removal of all existing defamatory content about Motorola — including negative campaigns, abusive remarks, and boycott campaigns

Google, Meta, X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads— over more than 360 posts by users that allegedly portray its devices as unsafe. The American phonemaker has asked courts to order the removal of this content and also prevent similar posts from appearing in the future.

I am not sure this is quite the tar on privacy however it is a bad behavior in my mind. I don't know what the law is looking to protect, but i am betting its not to get rid of bad product reviews. I bet Motrola are happy to advertise on those platforms.

I had some hopes pinned on their emerging presence for those who are looking for alternatives to apple/android overreach....it this an early warning of their true colors? Happy to be educated if i am missing some context.

Oh a staged video defaming them was going on in Indian market it is sort of justifiable. It is one of the friendlier brands with sdcard jack support and is trying to work with graphene. Their g series are also only devices I would mess around with putting custom ROMs and keeping as secondary device
