I know that too an extent newspapers still set the conversation, but no one under 40 outside of a doctors waiting room is reading these rags

I hate to say it, but I gotta pay The Australian front page, not for content, but design-wise.

  1. Quite a witty cartoon lampooning the Treasurer
  2. Theres a decent number of words on the frontpage, like a proper amount. Each section probably leads in to an article of dubious merit, but its more than the bloviating headlines of the rest.

The Australian has the distinct advantage of being a broadsheet, but I think even on a per cm^2^ basis they've prioritised content. They tend to be a bit less bombastic and more 'substantial', at least superficially.
