Motorists are being asked to avoid portions of Scott Road in North Delta Saturday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision. Delta police confirmed in an email to the Optimist that officers are on scene in the 7100 block of Scott Road for a motor vehicle collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle. Police say the call came in just before 3 p.m. The motorcycle rider sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and has been transported to hospital. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Scott Road between 72nd Avenue and 70th Avenue is currently closed while emergency crews facilitate removal of the vehicles and debris from the roadway. Police are asking motorists to please use an alternate route.
