Their asses are so very chapped by this whole situation and I love it. I hope the EU slaps them again for this move.

Good way to identify that you won't be subject to the App Store tax

Good way for Apple to say “Don’t come crying to us for a refund.”

[–] Fiivemacs@lemmy.ca 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Like they would refund you anyways

Apple has an incredible return policy

Looks like someone at Apple is butthurt :D

[–] Zak@lemmy.world 17 points 10 months ago (1 children)

"Butthurt" implies personal offense. This is about maximizing profit, nothing else.

Didn't they get fined or something by the US for lying about policies related to this issue? I can't imagine the EU wouldn't be even more strict on this considering existing precedence.

A lot of court cases will come with a judgement where it's important to implement said judgement with how it was intended.

This, obviously, is not what was intended. I think it'll have a funny side effect of people now beit able to see when they're being extorted by apple, but still.

We're I the EU, I would fine the hell out of apple for this bullshit. However, I'm not and something tells me that this is as far as it will go, unfortunately.
