Yes, the other country or person is bad, but if you don't act on principle, don't expect the other country or guy to act on principle either.

'Moral equivocation' exists as an argument to allow Western governments to commit atrocities against others but those countries aren't allowed to reciprocate.

If someone tries to cry 'how can you morally equivocate with those guys', then just tell them you operate on principle; what you don't want committed against you, you don't get to commit against others.
