If I owned Twitter, I would sell it to a right wing but job, no hesitation. A shit platform will become a bit more shit and I get millions and get out of having to manage the shit show.....there's literally no downside.

In fairness muskrat said he wanted to buy it. Then he tried to back out and the old c suite said ok pay us the billions you owe us according to the letter of offer. muskrat said no. So the C suite took him to court and muskrat lost the case and had to buy it.
Serves him right too.

Elon musk is a human pyramid scheme. And 401ks are holding the bag on his eventual rug pull.

The board has a fiduciary responsibility to the investors, so they were legally required to try to force Musk to make good on his offer.
But I think this is a good example of what's wrong with making everything about money. Who wants to sell their baby to somebody who will just slowly destroy it while using its death rattles to poison the entire world?
As if Twitter wasn't a shithole even before he bought it. He arguably made it worse, but you can't ruin a turd.
