Not coming to PC? Not playing 🀷

[–] mintiefresh@piefed.ca 8 points 2 weeks ago

Yep. Me neither.

Not coming to PC?

It's not like these games ever had day 1 PC releases. I think Sony and Disney will have discussions about promoting the upcoming X-Men movie via a PC release but that's a bunch of years in the future.

Who knows, maybe they will, maybe Apple will buy them for real this time.

Maybe read more carefully what I wrote. I'm aware what Sony said and I said that things can change a couple of years down the road.

You mean when PlayStation dies.

You mean when PlayStation dies.

If Disney have a commercial interest in promoting their failing MCU movies through a rerelease on PC of the existing Wolverine game, they might hammer out a deal. Announcements were reversed for lesser things in the past,

I read what you said, and historically what you said is true, where a game will come out and be exclusive to Playstation for a few years before releasing on PC, but they have confirmed that they won't do that anymore. Maybe you are right and they will change their minds, but it doesn't negate the fact that they said they won't.

they have confirmed that they won’t do that anymore.

Dude, it's not a legally binding contract. All I wrote boils down to basically "wait and see".

And all I said is "they said they won't" with an article saying they won't Β―\(ツ)/Β― why are you mad?

The worst part was is that they WERE developing it for PC due to the existence of the leaked alpha

All console games are initially developed on Windows PC. Back in GameCube days Nintendo even forgot to delete the Windows version of Pikmin from the release image: https://tcrf.net/Pikmin_(GameCube)/Windows_Executable

True...the GigaLeak had an Arceus build for PC that was used for testing

Logan's mission: get to his waxing appointment at the spa.

Is the guy that wrote Spec Ops The Line still heading the story for this?

I don’t have a PS5 but I may give this a stream if that’s the case.

Feels very similar to the Xmen Wolverine Origins game and that's a really gpod thing.

[–] gwl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sounds like a weird Belarusian bootleg of Gmod.

The blood is excessive, and then just fades away leaving him looking waxy again.

Either be bloody and messy, or tone it down a tad.

Hate it when developers ruin the immersion... /S

Let's hope Insomniac are back on form after the disappointing Spider-Man 2. Not that it really matters now Sony has run away from PC. I'm never buying a PlayStation again with how they've treated customers the past few generations.

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Spider-Man 2 was disappointing?

[–] TemplaerDude@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It’s always funny when people drop their wildly off base opinions as public truth.

[–] LemmyEntertainYou@piefed.social 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

General consensus was disappointment was it not? I've not really seen ant different at all.

[–] Itsamelemmy@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

I remember it being received pretty favorably. Personally, it was too close to Miles and I was burnt out on the formula. But I did buy it later on sale and remember it being more spiderman. Good, but didn't really expand on the original enough to make it great. Metacritic shows 90 critic 86 user score, so that seems pretty well liked to me.

That makes the game disappointing?

Marvel's Wolverine: The Cutscene and "press square to win".

Jesus that looks bad as a game. Graphics are nice, animations look nice, gameplay looks like you could sit the controller down on the ground and just press square with your toe. Sony really must tell all their developers to try and eliminate as much gameplay as possible. This and God of War Laufey look like 10% game and 90% cinematics and QTEs.
