Wait, so they suspended someone who is already on voluntary leave and has been cleared of the allegations by literal international judges? At the same time, Judges who supported the investigation have been personally sanctioned and treated as if they are terrorists.

It’s almost like Israel’s threat to destroy him and the court is coming to fruition.

Tough situation. For one, ICC needs to react. On the other hand, ICC should know that allegations could be faked. ICC is not a brand and does not need to make shareholders happy. And one of the core principles in law is usually (except in the US): In dubio pro reo. In doubt, decide for the accused. And unless someone is convicted, they have to be treated as innocent.

So I have mixed feelings about this.

Is ICC now trying to appease the Orange? I'm sure Orange will be all friendly to Karim regardless whether he actually did something or not.
