It's what plants crave

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Just be careful if you have kidney issues. Electrolytes can be VERY dangerous if their levels build up

But it's what plants crave.

So you're saying if I ingest enough electrolytes I won't need to eat veggies because they will invade my intestines of their own volition to get to the electrolyte treasures hidden within?

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago

Yea it’s called gut flora. You understand correctly.

Magnesium and stretching helped me

[–] antbricks@lemmy.today 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Calcium in the morning and Magnesium after dinner for me.

[–] dubyakay@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

Make sure it's magnesium biglycinate in the evening.

Mg citrate in the morning, if needed.

Last time I took blood minerals test, it showed that I got over the normal amounts of magnesium. Can't remember having cramp last time. It did happen, but like 10 or more years ago.

When you take a deep breath and feel your tummy rumble

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Kind of fun to watch, tbf.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Have they figured out why you get cramps nowadays? I have heard many explanations but none seems to be backed scientifically.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Magnesium. (prevents, not causes)

I've also heard that tonic water with quinine will stop cramping pretty much right away, though I haven't tried it personally.
